DawaGate is designed to connect physician diagnostic requests with participating laboratories and radiology centers, helping requests, preparation instructions, results and follow-up move through one coordinated digital healthcare journey.

YOUR DIAGNOSTIC PROFILE
Present the Services Available at Each Center
Each participating laboratory or radiology center can maintain a location-specific profile. Participation is subject to DawaGate onboarding and applicable licensing and verification requirements.
Diagnostic Organization
Central participation information and an organized list of locations.
- Organization name
- Central contacts
- Participation information
- Location list
Individual Location
Capabilities can differ across branches and centers.
- Address and contact details
- Working hours
- Service catalog
- Booking availability
- Preparation requirements
- Expected turnaround
- Home collection where applicable
- Accessibility information where applicable
YOUR SERVICES
Define Exactly What Each Branch Provides
Every service should ultimately have a structured record for its location, availability, appointment requirements, preparation instructions, duration and expected result or report turnaround.
Laboratory Services
Examples depend on each participating location.
- Blood tests
- Chemistry
- Hematology
- Microbiology
- Pathology
- Hormone testing
- Other available investigations
Radiology Services
Not every location offers every imaging service.
- X-ray
- Ultrasound
- CT
- MRI
- Mammography
- Other supported diagnostic imaging
PREPARE THE PATIENT
Give Patients the Right Instructions Before Every Test
Diagnostic providers should define preparation requirements for each service so DawaGate can present them before the appointment or visit. Preparation requirements vary by service and clinical protocol.
Laboratory Preparation
Provider-defined instructions may include fasting when required, food or drink guidance, sample timing, medication-related instructions where professionally appropriate, and special sample preparation.
Imaging Preparation
MRI and other imaging preparation may depend on the body region, contrast use, sedation, implants or metal screening, pregnancy-related screening and other provider protocols.
Fasting lipid or cholesterol testing requirements should be shown exactly as defined by the provider and ordering clinician where applicable. DawaGate does not invent medical preparation instructions.
CONNECTED DIAGNOSTIC REQUESTS
Receive Physician Requests Directly Through the Workflow
After a physician determines that investigation is required, DawaGate can electronically route an appropriate diagnostic request to a participating provider where integration is enabled.
- Patient or request reference
- Requested test or imaging study
- Information appropriate to the service
- Physician or request reference
- Urgency or status where supported
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Connect With Existing Diagnostic Operations
Where system integration is enabled, DawaGate is designed to transmit diagnostic requests electronically to the participating provider’s operational system and receive the resulting report or result through the connected workflow.
Laboratory Integration
Potential connection with a Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Diagnostic request
- Status
- Structured result where supported
- Laboratory report
Radiology Integration
Potential connection with RIS and PACS or imaging systems where appropriate.
- Imaging request
- Status
- Radiology report
- Image-access reference where technically supported
Integrated systems seamlessly receive diagnostic orders and send back results through DawaGate’s workflow.
THE RIGHT PROVIDER FOR THE REQUEST
Match the Diagnostic Need With an Appropriate Location
Future selection may consider service capability and operational suitability rather than relying on a single score.
Clinical Service Fit
Requested service, branch capability, equipment and preparation requirements.
Patient Access
Geography, home collection where applicable, appointment availability and patient preference.
Operational Fit
Opening hours, availability, expected turnaround and provider performance.
APPOINTMENT COORDINATION
Help Patients Find an Available Time and Location
Some services allow walk-in visits, while others require an appointment, a specific time or preparation before arrival. A future provider system may configure available days, times, capacity, appointment duration and temporary unavailability.
PROVIDER PAYMENT
Diagnostic Payments Stay With the Provider’s Payment System
Payment for laboratory or radiology services will be processed through the participating provider’s own payment system or payment process, rather than through DawaGate’s consultation-payment workflow.
Diagnostic service payments are handled directly by the participating facility, separate from DawaGate’s consultation checkout.
PATIENT PREPARATION
Make Preparation Clear Before the Patient Arrives
Instructions must originate from provider protocol, the ordering clinician where applicable, or approved platform content.
- Fasting when required
- Hydration guidance
- Arrival time
- Documents to bring
- Medication considerations
- Relevant clothing or metal restrictions
- Specimen requirements

DIAGNOSTIC SERVICE
Perform the Requested Investigation Through the Provider’s Clinical Workflow
The diagnostic provider remains responsible for patient identification, testing or imaging procedures, laboratory processing, professional reporting, internal quality processes, result validity and applicable provider obligations. DawaGate does not perform the test.
Laboratory Workflow
Specimen collection, testing, processing and professional result reporting remain with the laboratory.
Radiology Workflow
Imaging acquisition and professional report generation remain with the radiology provider.
CLOSE THE DIAGNOSTIC LOOP
Return Results to the Patient’s Connected Health Record
Where integration is enabled, completed reports and supported diagnostic information can be returned electronically to DawaGate.
Laboratory
Structured result where supported and the laboratory report.
Radiology
Radiology report and imaging-access reference where technically supported. Full imaging datasets may remain in the provider’s imaging system.

ONE CONTINUING HEALTH RECORD
Keep Diagnostic Results With the Patient’s Healthcare History
Appropriate results and reports received through the connected workflow can become available under the patient’s DawaGate profile to support longitudinal history, later consultation, follow-up, comparison with previous available records and continuity of care.

RESULTS AVAILABLE
Notify the Right People When Results Are Ready
When a result or report is returned successfully, DawaGate can notify the patient and ordering physician through supported notification methods.
Patient Notification
A result or report is available in the patient account.
Doctor Notification
The requested result or report is available for professional review.

CONTINUED CLINICAL CARE
Results Return to the Physician’s Care Pathway
The ordering physician may review the available result or report and determine the appropriate next clinical step. DawaGate does not automatically interpret results or make clinical decisions.
- No further action
- Follow-up consultation
- Additional investigation
- Treatment decision
- Prescription or update
- Referral
- In-person evaluation

CLEAR EXPECTATIONS
Help Patients and Doctors Understand When Results May Be Available
Providers may define estimated or expected turnaround for individual services. Actual timing may depend on service complexity, provider workflow, sample quality, professional review and operational factors.
Expected Turnaround
Examples may be same day or an expected number of hours or days; exact timing is not guaranteed.
Service-specific Information
Define laboratory result and radiology report expectations for the relevant service and location.
SERVICE FEEDBACK
Use Feedback to Strengthen the Diagnostic Network
Verified completed-service feedback may contribute to provider performance information and future network-routing decisions.
Patient Feedback
Feedback about the service experience.
