(نيتازين) Nitazene refers to a class of synthetic opioid analgesics that were originally developed in the 1950s for pain management but were never approved for medical use due to their extreme potency and safety concerns.
These compounds act as powerful μ-opioid receptor agonists, producing analgesic and euphoric effects similar to, but often much stronger than morphine or fentanyl.

Nitazenes include several analogues such as Isotonitazene, Protonitazene, Metonitazene, and Etonitazene, many of which are up to 20–100 times more potent than morphine. Even microgram doses can cause respiratory depression, loss of consciousness, or death.

Therapeutic status: No approved medical use – controlled under Schedule I (Narcotic Substances).
Common forms: powder, tablets, or counterfeit pills resembling prescription opioids.
Toxicity: extreme; reversed only with naloxone, often requiring multiple doses due to high receptor affinity.
